Climate

Please be aware of the following possible weather conditions:

Nortes, are storms that bring colder winds from the north, they usually last a day or two and temperatures can drop down some 5-12 degrees Celsius.

The official hurricane season goes from July through November. Mexico has a very
efficient evacuation system in case of an acute danger. El Cuyo has not been evacuated in 2006.

Mosquitoes: You are in the tropics and yes there are mosquitoes especially at sunset, but the house is equipped with mosquito screens in all windows and doors; make sure to get bug spray.

Heat: it can get quite hot in the summer months but since the house is located right at the beach there is almost always a nice breeze coming from the water, all rooms are equipped with big ceiling fans.
